3.18 Sand Volleyball vs. ULM

LSU beach volleyball signed six new players head coach Russell Brock announced. Grace Seits, Sierra Caffo, Sydney Moore, Liz Masters, Natalie Martin and Lara Boos were added in the early signing period.

Seits is coming from Ramona, California. She is a two-time All-League performer. The past three seasons she has led her team to the league championship. Her overall record is 97-38.

Caffo worked with Seits in the same club from San Diego, Caffo’s hometown. Caffo is a four-year letterwinner in both indoor and outdoor volleyball. Her sophomore season she was named the California state runner-up. She has served as team captain the past two seasons with a 23-17 record in 2017 putting them in the championship.

Moore, a Pickerington, Ohio native,  has competed in over 40 tournaments since 2014. She has also placed in the top-five of 10 tournaments since 2017. Moore and Masters have played over 30 tournaments together. The two have have won 11 tournaments, the most recent being the Junior Beach Tour Championship.

Masters, from Columbus, Ohio, has finished top-three in five tournaments since 2016. She also won the U18 Volley America Flyaway Tournament.

Mission, Texas native, Martin has impressive stats showing over 1,000 career digs and kills. Martin was named to the AVAC Under Armor All-American watch list. She has led her team to 39 victories. Her team has been to the district championship twice and she is a three-time First Team All-District player.

Boos has been named an All-American player. Coming from Indialantic, Florida, Boos has led her team to a district championship every year. She has one the MaxPreps player of the week in Florida. She is a two-time qualifier for the Junior Olympics and has finished third in the USA decision. Boos continues to hold her school record for kills in a game and career blocks.

LSU beach volleyball will begin their season Saturday, Feb. 16 at home in their newly constructed stadium.
