The LSU women's track and field team scored 41 points on the final day of competition at Hayward Field to earn a sixth place finish at the 2018 NCAA Championships on Saturday.

The women's 4x100 meter relay squad of Mikiah Brisco, Kortnei Johnson, Rachel Misher and Aleia Hobbs won LSU's NCAA-leading 15th national title in the event with a time of 42.25.

Hobbs returned to the track and won an individual title in the 100 meter dash in the midst of a downpour with a time of 11.01. The win for Hobbs was her second-career individual national title as she won the 60 meter dash earlier this year at the NCAA indoor championships.

Kymber Payne (400 meter hurdles/3rd place), Kortnei Johnson (200 meter dash/5th place), Tonea Marshall (100 meter hurdles/6th place), Mikiah Brisco (100 meter dash/6th place) and Rachel Misher (400 meter dash/7th) all placed as well and earned First Team All-America honors.
